Taste and See

I woke this morning ‘muttering” this verse…

“Oh, Taste and See that the

LORD is good;

Blessed is the man who

Trust in Him.” Psalm 34:8

“…Israel called its name manna…and the taste of it was like wafer made with honey.” Exodus 16:31

Lifter of my head

“Pencil, book, back in hand.

Praise You LORD,

The Great “I AM”.

Lift me up for mercy’s sake;

Open wide Your heaven’s gate.

All good treasures stored for me;

Adventure is my destiny!”

“But You, O LORD,

Are a Shield about me,

My glory, and the

Lifter of my head.”

Not on an actual “vacation” or “journey” right now, but I am VERY excited about the path and adventure He is leading me on …

A New Song of Heart!

The Lord “Who makes all things new” has caused a new song of Hope to rise up in my heart!!

I was really suffering with indecision and doubt of my future plans.

During quiet time, the Holy Spirit brought a woman who within the past 24 hours and a long period of waiting and lost hope, literally had received a heart transplant. As I prayed for her wellbeing and all the complications and difficulties of a delicate surgery…

The Lord spoke to me…

Just like when I put a “new heart” in you, if your BODY rejects it – it dies!!!

I know what the Word has been speaking to my “spirit” man, but as Paul says, my “body” has been warring with my spirit!! I can either accept the Word of Life or reject it!!!

(I won’t say die, because I know Jesus will continue to walk with me even when I am not strong enough to “walk in the spirit” and let my body lead me the long way around.)

Praise Jesus for His Faithfulness – Mercy and Grace!!!

SO…After a LONG season of drought, He has opened the eyes of my heart to see the “new” in the plans and purpose He has for my life!

I look forward to what lies ahead…

“Just when I put my

“Hope” away,

You reached down and

Spoke,

“This is the day that the Lord has made;

Let us rejoice in it!” Psalm 118:24”

“…I will…speak tenderly to her.

And there I will give her her vineyards

And make the Valley of Achor a

Door of Hope.”

Hosea 2:14-15 (ESV)

Blessings!

Pregnant Hope

“Good morning LORD,

Waking me as

You do.

Pregnant with

“Hope”,

Expectations based in You!

Not looking to my feet,

Covered in the dust and dirt;

“Looking unto Jesus!”

In Him alone I trust!”

The “Certain Woman”

“How do you walk in the Spirit?”

The question they inquire to know.

Asking myself,

“Where am I in the story?”

And allowing my spirit to go.

I traveled from the land of Moab,

All the way to Naomi’s’ Bethlehem.

Gleaning in Boaz’s field, and

Eating bread from my

Kinsman Redeemer’s hand.

In the hill country of Ephraim,

Like Hannah,

I’ve cried out to God for a son.

He heard my prayer of sorrow,

And caught my

“tears in a bottle”

Each one.

I’ve been the “Certain Woman” with

A dab of oil left to spare.

He stepped into my land of lack,

Multiplying my vessels right there.

Like David,

 “Ascending the Mount of Olives,

Weeping, barefoot and head covered in shame;

Looking on me with

Compassion,

Turned and restored my reign.

Gently reminding me, once again,

I’m a daughter of the King

In His Name.

So where am I in this story?

LORD let Your Word show me the way.

I’m in need of Your direction and solace,

Let Your Holy Spirit guide me today.

Stirred Colors of Hope

“LORD,

Stir up the colors,

Refresh my eyes to see.

You’ve purposed everyone!”

Grace Way – Through the Waters

DSCN0839

“Grace Way

The place where the two ways meet.

Following in Your footsteps;

Keeping tuned to

Your heart beat.”

“Now this is what the LORD says,

“Do not fear, for I have

Redeemed you;

I have called you by your name; you are Mine.

I will be with you when you pass through the waters,

And when you pass through the rivers,

They will not overwhelm you.

You will not be scorched when you walk

Through the fire,

And the flame will not burn you…

I AM the LORD…”

Sit Alone in Silence

What keeps a blogger from checking in, posting a thought or sharing their heart for an extended period of time?

For me, coming through the politics, State and local, as an Elementary secretary in Public school.

“Let him sit alone in silence when it is laid on him…” Lamentations 3:28 (ESV)

DSCN0704

This “season” is over and summer now stretches wide before me.

DSCN0583

Sunday evening, I logged in and went about the neighborhood visiting friends and fellow bloggers I haven’t heard from in a long time.

Reading comments and linking through to new neighbors I would have otherwise never had the pleasure of meeting.

It has been said, posting comments is so “time consuming”; this is true.

BUT, without the time invested to learn about each other,

I would have missed the blessings of encouragement,

Stirred desire to write,

And the lifting up of my heart from

“…straining at rowing, for the wind was against them” Mark 6:48

 DSCN1973

THANK YOU FOR WELCOMING ME BACK WITH OPEN ARMS

AND NEIGHBORLY LOVE!

 I truly enjoy sharing my heart,

and being inspired as you share yours.

 I am blessed to belong to this neighborhood we call WordPress, and

look forward to spending summer days reading about you!
