I woke up thinking about the green color of our swimming pool.
My husband, armed with sanitizing items for war,
is waging a fierce battle.
His mission,
to see the “blue!”
“Good morning LORD!
Waking to thoughts of You.
Your not in the green,
Your in the blue!
Clear and Sparkling.
Bright as Light.
Turning darkness
Into understanding sight.
Colors given one by one.
Gifts of rainbow from
The Son.
Glorify Your Name in waves,
Colors singing,
and clouds parade!”
I wondered, “What is the Hebrew definition for ‘blue’?”
An obscure idea of a “peeling off by concussion of sound”; a scale or shell (example a mussel) stemming from the unused root word “Shacal” which is the “roar of a lion”.
Blue – the roar of a lion.
The Lion of Judah
Could it be,
the woman with the “issue of blood,” seeing Jesus passing by,
heard the “roar of the blue” from the hem of His garment?

“The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the people…and tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments…and to put a cord of blue on the tassel of each corner.” Numbers 15:37-38 (ESV)
On hearing, the “scales” fell from her eyes to see,
And reaching out, she touched her Healing.
“For she said to herself, ‘If I only touch His garment, I shall be made well. But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter, your faith has made you well.” Matthew 9:21-22
Hidden treasure in the word pictures of “Shacal” – #7826 Strong’s
Sheen – smile

Word picture: Teeth or Fire
Meaning: Smile, to consume, to feed on.
Can you see the smile?
Chet – full face

Word Picture – Fence
Meaning: – inner-room, protection,
private, to separate, full-face. Can you see the outline of the face?
Lamed – Shepherd

Word picture – Staff or Rod.
Shepherd, to learn, to accompany,
Instruction, authority.
Lamed is one of my favorites! Can you see the staff of the Shepherd?
“…Jesus turned around and saw her…”
The smile of the full face of the Shepherd
Jesus
He said, “…daughter…”
I’m seeing her smile too,
In the Roar of the Blue!
The “blue” was from the cerulean mussel, the rare color was used to dye the tassels. This prayer shawl is an example of what the “woman” would have been reaching to touch on Jesus’s hem.
I wept like a baby when I purchased this in a shop on the Sea of Galilee.
May you be blessed today with healing and well-being under the blue!
Inspiring and thoughtful peom

Passionate, creative, beautiful so glad I dropped by. Thank you. I have never heard before the ROAR of the Lion of Judah as being blue. I was reminded this week of the Judgment Presence of the Lion of Judah in 1 Kings 13 1-24 …..an older Prophet deceives a younger prophet and then witnesses the judgment of God by the Presence of God revealed in the lion. (interesting deception and judgment). Your beautiful blue imagery is like balm to the spirit. Thank you again. x

We’re in the Mammoth Cave State Park area. We hiked down to the aptly named Green River-just like your pool. It needs the roar of the blue!
