Poems to Ponder – Day Thirty-Seven

“While yet it was still dark,

She was the first thought on His heart.”

“Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene.”  Mark 16:9

Jesus, the Risen Lord, “appeared first to Mary”.

What an awesome privilege to be the first He appeared to.

Was it because “Mary” was a woman?

Was it because it was “the first day of the week”?

Scripturally, in His faithfulness to His Word,

it was “early” and the very first thing she sought in her day was Him.

“One Lamb, in the morning…at the entrance…where I will meet with you, to speak to you there. And (you) shall know that I Am the LORD (your) God.” Exodus 29:38-46
