All That Moves In The Field

We had several visitors today.

Some close up, and

Others,

We’re glad to say,

Stayed a distance away!

Sweet doe – she is one of three babies by one Momma deer who visits us daily.

Time to go…Mom and sisters moving on.

Coyote, oh no!

First freeze last night brought him far too close looking for lunch.

Firecracker sent him off with a fair warning…too close for our comfort.

Skunk! If he sprays, we’re sunk!!

I have laundry hanging in the beautiful afternoon sun!!

Ok, he just wanted a drink and then went on his way.

Running deer, keen to hear.

Abby started barking and stirred this late afternoon deer up!

This deer and doe are a bit taller and older than our regular morning Momma and triplets. Fast too!!

Sunset true, distant view.

Time to put a close to the day.

Good night my WordPress friends and neighbors!

The cattle on a thousand hills.

I know all the birds of the hills,

And all that moves in the field is Mine.”

  1. This is a beautiful post. What a wonderful view of your life and the visitors who may drop by. So incredible to me but none of your visitors could drop by at my place…..birds, kangaroos, maybe an odd fox(not native seen as a pest), ? maybe a dingo….? a koala…… but all your visitors sound and look so ‘different’. Thank you. It reminded me again so clearly dear sister that though our lives, circumstances, time frame and even seasons….. in our Saviour we truly share the one heart and one HOPE for all people. What a truly lovely way to journey today with you.

    1. Why thank you Faye:) A koala would be a delight to see visit me!! And a kangaroo!! What fun that would be! Makes my mind imagine how big and wide heaven is going to be for us! Not bound by time, distance or place! We can meet up and walk the streets of Jerusalem together:) Shop the market for fresh figs, olives and fruit!! What fun this is to see unfolding in my mind’s eye!! Blessings Faye! As I close my day and dreams of night are at hand, I will think on koalo bears and kangaroos and yes, the foxes may even lay down with the lambs:) Good night my friend.

    1. The Momma and her three does we have been blessed to see grow from fawns to now. We don’t allow hunting on our property and I pray for their safety on the road and a joining land. Coyotes should keep their distance, but hear them howling in the field at night. Skunk, yes, we know he lives by and as long as we can respect each other it works! Lol The first cold night brought them all out to the sunshine. The deer we usually see every day. Thank you for asking:)
