“The sweetest thing in all my life
Has been the longing – to reach
The Mountain, to find the place where all
The beauty came from…my country,
The place where I ought to have been born.
Do you think it all meant nothing,
All the longing?
The longing for home?
For indeed it now feels
Not like going,
But like going back.”
Quote by C. S. Lewis
November 18, 2017
Two months until departure.
“Not like going,
But like going back.”
“Draw me to Your Presence;
The soaring in the sky.
Lifted up in faith,
As I wave my family “Goodbye”.
Return me to the place of
Miracles and Sea;
For in the Land of Promise
Is where I “long” to be.”
“And David said with “longing”
“Oh, that someone would give me a drink of water
From the well of Bethlehem,
Which is by the gate.”
2 Samuel 23:15 NKJV

Wow Denise beautiful! It must be so awe inspiring to be in Jerusalem. I just watched a show about it and the underground Jerusalem that they found. It was fascinating. Wishing you a wonderful trip when you go.

Thank you Deb. The beauty of His Promise, for all who believe in His Name, will one day walk the golden streets of the New Jerusalem! I’m sure with all eternity in front of us, we can walk the streets together in Him:)
