“A journal,
A journal,
More than a book.
Pages to turn,
Places to look.
Concealed inside
Are treasures of time.
A place to return
In Holy Land stride.
Memories and
Wisdom;
Thoughts far too deep
To absorb all at once,
So in writing we keep.
Days and hours of
The trip to enjoy.
Returning once more,
To our
Promise Land joy!”

Beautiful, Denise! I tried to keep a journal on my most recent trip… but I got really sick with bronchitis and so ultimately let the journal drop in favor of going to bed early in order to get well. Sigh. I wish I had been able to journal; it is such a gift when you return home and still have all the detailed memories! Hugs!

Oh Lynn, I am so sorry to hear about your getting sick while traveling. I am scheduled Friday to go to Doctor’s to get some meds to take with me for precaution. Journalling while up in Galilee is a bit easier because of the space between each site. Jerusalem is a challenge. This trip I am hoping to do a bit more people watching, ear listening and time to breath in the fragrance of the City. Hence, sitting on the bench while others go down the tunnels and such. As always, thank you for stopping by to see me:)
