“From the sands of the sea
Your heart is set on me.
Through the expanse of time the
Cross it does remind.
You walked all the way for me;
From Your heart flowed Calvary.”
“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them,
They would be more in number than the sand.”
Psalm 139:17-18 NKJV

When I read “You walked for me” and then saw the photo of a sandy beach, I thought of how hot the sand would be until you got to the sand cooled by the ocean waves. Having someone else take those steps is a great idea, but having Jesus walking for me at any time is too wonderful to describe.

Thank you for sharing your insight from reading the poem. I didn’t consider the hot sand, but oh what a beautiful picture of Jesus taking our place to save us from the heat of punishment and death. thank you very much for sharing. Blessings in your day.
