You Walked for Me

“From the sands of the sea

Your heart is set on me.

Through the expanse of time the

Cross it does remind.

You walked all the way for me;

From Your heart flowed Calvary.”

“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How great is the sum of them!

If I should count them,

They would be more in number than the sand.”

Psalm 139:17-18 NKJV

  1. When I read “You walked for me” and then saw the photo of a sandy beach, I thought of how hot the sand would be until you got to the sand cooled by the ocean waves. Having someone else take those steps is a great idea, but having Jesus walking for me at any time is too wonderful to describe.

    1. Thank you for sharing your insight from reading the poem. I didn’t consider the hot sand, but oh what a beautiful picture of Jesus taking our place to save us from the heat of punishment and death. thank you very much for sharing. Blessings in your day.
