Psalm 91:16 – Eyes to See Salvation

Faith Pictures

“With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My Salvation.”Psalm 91:16 NJKV

I pray you have been blessed with a journey through Psalm 91 as seen through prayer, my heart and lens for His glory.

I pray your eyes have been blessed to see Jesus our Salvation, ever present help in trouble and lover of our souls.

May God bless you abundantly in His Peace today and always.

Denise

“And His Name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.” Isaiah 9:6-7 NJKV

Psalm 91:15 – He Will Answer

Faith Pictures

“He shall call up Me, and I will answer him; I will deliver him and honor him.” Psalm 91:15 NKJJV

I hear myself answering back to the cat’s cry to go out yet again this morning, “I don’t want to hear it!”

How comforting to know my Father never says the same to me.

“He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him.” Amen

May your day be blessed,

Denise

Psalm 91:14 – Attached to His Heart

Faith Pictures

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high because He has known My name.” Psalm 91:14 NJKV

He has set” in the Hebrew means to cling, to delight, to long, to love.

May your heart be strengthen and blessed as you allow God to delight in you today❤️

Psalm 91:13 – Dancing Power of God

Faith Pictures

“You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra…” Psalm 91:13 NKJV

Verse 13 was one of the last Faith Pictures for Psalm 91 left for me to photograph.

I would pray and ask for God’s eye to point me in the right direction, but “Lion and cobra” left me blinded each time.

Interestingly, The Passion Translation notes this on verse 13.

“The Hebrew includes words for “lions,” “snakes,” and “dragons” as the three great symbols of satanic power.” [pg. 875]

Isn’t that just like us in the natural? How do we stomp on lions and cobras when we can’t see anything physical to stomp on.

Today’s picture is of the eclipse that occurred a few years back.

Remember the media and authorities warning us daily to “Don’t look”, “Don’t go out”, you may be blinded or something worse?

Well, I did go out. No, I didn’t look directly into the sky to see what was happening, but oh how I would have missed seeing the awesome display of God’s power dancing on the paths around my house.

Today, in God’s wisdom and discernment, may we not fear what the world fears, both in the natural and the unseen. Stepping into the Light of His path knowing in our heart, we will “the serpent you shall trample underfoot.” because Jesus “bruised His head” for us at Calvary. Genesis 3:15

Blessings,

Denise

Psalm 91:12 – Precious Value

Faith Pictures

“Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:12 NKJV

As I thought on this verse, Holy Spirit brought the Parable of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl to my mind’s eye.

This is how I believe Jesus sees each of us. We are His treasure, His pearl, worth great value that He gave up His heavenly Kingdom to open the way to bring us, His Bride, to His.

May you each be blessed today knowing, you are “very precious” and an “exquisite pearl” in His eyes.

“Heaven’s kingdom realm is also like a jewel merchant in search of rare pearls. When he discovered one very precious and exquisite pearl, he immediately gave up all he had in exchange for it.” Mathew 13:45-46 The Passion Translation

Psalm 91:12 – Moving Forward

Faith Pictures

“In their hands they shall bear you up.” Psalm 91:12 NKJV

This picture was captured from my window seat flying into Washington, DC in early August 2020. My family and I flew in to attend a postponed wedding of March 2020.

I selected this picture for verse 12 because the winding muddy river below. It reminded me of a snake. In the midst of the snake’s plaque upon our Land, the infestation of voices warning us over and over, “Do not go, it’s not safe to travel.”  In the midst of the world’s crazy, with His Word tucked in my heart, we stepped out in faith and moved forward.

Psalm 91 and the faith pictures of His hand of protection upon us brought us safely to the wedding and home again. No plague came near our tent, and for His Word we are forever grateful.

May you step into your day filled with God’s promises, and hand of protection upon you and your family.

Psalm 91:11 – Eyes on Him

Faith Pictures

“For He shall give His angels charge over you,

To keep you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:11 NKJV

Keeping my eyes up today remembering,

“The LORD by wisdom founded the earth;

By understanding He established the heavens;

By His knowledge, the depths were broken up,

And the clouds drop down the dew…

(My friends), let them not depart from your eyes –

Keep sound wisdom and discretion;

So they will be life to your soul,

And grace to your neck.

Then you will walk safely in your way,

And your foot will not stumble…

For the LORD will be your confidence,

And will keep your foot from being caught.”

Proverbs 3:19-26 NKJV

Grace to your neck...just a thought, keeping my eyes on Him, I will be in the safe place of Hope – not in the middle of strangling, muzzling fear. Centered safely and secure in His Will and Word.

Blessings in your day,

Denise

Psalm 91: 10 – Your Dwelling Place

Faith Pictures

“No evil shall befall you,

Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling…” Psalm 91:10 NKJV

Dwelling – Hebrew word #168 – ohel – a tent (as clearly conspicuous from a distance) – covering, (dwelling) (place), home, tabernacle, tent.

From the root Hebrew word #166 – ahal – to be clear – shine.

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,

Nor angels nor principalities

Nor powers,

Now things present

Nor things to come,

Nor height nor depth,

Nor any other created things,

Shall be able to separate us

From the love of God

Which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 9:38-39 NKJV

May your dwelling place, your tent, your heart, shine with “the love of God” confident, assured, knowing nothing can separate us from the “Christ Jesus our Lord.” Amen

Blessings for your day,

Denise

Psalm 91:9 – Refuge

Faith Pictures

Here we are back at the word – Refuge.

The third time it is mentioned in Psalm 91.

Back between the strangling – when our throats struggle to utter prayer.

And

The muzzling – when we wonder if our prayers are being heard by our Father.

Refuge – Hope – Trust

In between the struggle of prayer, and the silence our hearts hear is the third reminder to continue dwell, hope, trust, hide and dwell in the place of the Most High – under the shadow, the safety of the Almighty God Who gave His life for me.

See Psalm 91: Verse 4 for the Hebrew explanation of the word Refuge, Hope, Trust.

Psalm 91:8

Faith Pictures

“Only with your eyes you shall see…” Psalm 91:8 NKJV

Causing me to think of the life advice in Proverb 4:23,

“Above all else, guard your heart…” Proverbs 4:23 NIV

The Passion Translation shares,

“So above all, guard the affections of your heart,

For they affect all that you are.

Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being,

For from there flows the wellspring of life.”

Proverbs 4:23 TPT

Today, may you be encouraged to…

“Wait on the LORD,

And keep His way,

And He shall exalt you to inherit the land;

When the wicked are cut off,

You shall see it.

I have seen the wicked in great power,

And spreading himself like a native green tree,

Yet he passed away,

And behold, (look, see, observe)

He was no more;

Indeed I sought him,

But he could not be found.”

Psalm 37:34-36 NKJV

Psalm 91:7

Faith Pictures

“A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.”
Psalm 91:7 NKJV

The “the right hand” speaks of favor (undeserved, unmerited goodness of God for you), and also, “strength”.

May you step out in His strength today, not yours but His, knowing you are loved and highly favored trusting in Jesus Who died for you ❤️

“We love (having strength in the hard places of the day) because He first loved us” 1 John 4:19 NKJV

“There is no fear in love;
But perfect love casts out fear…”
1 John 4:18 NKJV

Blessings,
Denise
