If you ever wondered what a school secretary and the Principal really do when the kids are outside at recess, well this second grader knows the real truth.
We party!
I love all the stars, hearts and what looks like balloons hanging from the ceiling in Maddison’s drawing. They are actually brightly colored paper flowers our student remembers seeing hanging in the office.
Kids aren’t always looking for fireworks and a plugin device to look at, sometimes it’s simply floating flowers in the most unusual places that brings joy to their heart and delight to the eye.
ps: The Principal is actually on the playground during Recess and I am at my desk putting on Band-Aids or washing woodchips, yes, you heard me right, woodchips from kids eyes. I haven’t actually found a “woodchip” in anyone’s eye, but I guess when Oklahoma winds get blowing even a piece of dust can feel like a wood chip in the eye.😊🎐
