“Abide in My garden, rebuild your nest.
For it’s here in My peace, your mind will find rest.”
“Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you.” Job 22:21 NJKV

Fountain grass in foregound, surrounded by native hay for mulch. Autumn Fire Sedum in background. Both sun tolerant perennials. Perennials should come back year after year. Or that’s the plan! 😊
I have had much success in using hay for weed control and to retain moisture in the garden. I like the light color of the hay for full sun beds as I think it is easier on the eye and less absorbent of the harsh sun and heat reflecting back on the plants in a southern exposure flower bed location. It’s priced right for large area covering too! One square bale can cover a lot of space.

They get a bit aggressive so they need thinning but I have used chives. They have a pretty purple flower, tolerate full sun and give something for the plate as well…a real garden trifecta
