Break of Day Luminous

“The revelation-light of His Word makes my spirit shine radiant.” Psalm 19:8 TPT

The Hebrew understanding of this verse can be as this:

The break of day, luminous light of His Word causes my eyes to shine with the knowledge of His Face, and favor in life.

Praying you too may be so captivated by the Light of God’s Word and the radiance of Jesus’ Face; your eyes will shine new with understanding of His love for you by His grace!

God bless you,

Denise

“The LORD bless you and keep you;

The LORD makes His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.”

Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV

Psalm 91:3 – Faith Pictures

The Hebrew word for pestilence can also mean “poisoned arrows”.

I can’t help but think the “poisoned arrows” are those doubtful thoughts “shot” into our head causing us to doubt what the Word of God says.

Jesus praying right before He begins the long night of His passion,

“I am not asking that You remove them from the world,

But I ask that You guard their hearts from evil,

For they no longer belong to this world any more than I do.

Your Word is truth!

John 17:15 & 16 The Passion Translation

In the Morning

Included in my prayers Sunday night while the temperatures dropped and the heavy snow continued to come down on the cows and outside animals, I asked the Lord to merciful in the morning.

Oh how my heart rejoiced to see the sun rising. Giving me hope and reassurance He hears my prayers and cares deeply for the concerns of our hearts.

God bless and stay warm as we get ready for the next storm this evening.

Psalm 91:2 – Faith Pictures

“He is the hope that holds me…”

The word “refuge” in Hebrew is also the word used for “hope”.

May we find His personal shelter and hope as we walk through this day; trusting in God alone, Who is our fortress and great confidence.

“He’s the hope that holds me,

And the stronghold to shelter me,

The only God for me,

And my great confidence.”

Psalm 91:2 The Passion Translation

Psalm 91 – Faith Pictures

“He who dwells…” Psalm 91:1

Beginning a new journey. In the following days, I will be sharing my personal photographs with Scripture verses from Psalm 91.

It would be an honor to have you join me.

Blessings,

Denise

Piercing Soul and Spirit

Strong and Courageous –
31 Days of Victory Through Joshua’s Battles

Day Eight – Gezer – Precipice – Cut Off

“…the king of Gezer, one.” Joshua 12:12 NKJV

The fierce enemy Joshua faces conceals a two-edge sword.

One side of the blade, his name Gezer means – precipice or a vertical cliff. On the other side of the edge, his name can also be spelled Gazer which means “cut off”.

A vertical drop when I listen to his double talk.

“Then Horman (his name means elevation) king of Gezer came up…and Joshua struck him and his people, until he left him none remaining.” Joshua 10:33 NJKV

Lord, my I too have a Joshua spirit! Cutting off the lies and double talk tactics of any attack against my mind and heart. May I open my mouth boldly by wielding the powerful sword of Your Word keeping my emotions, body, soul, and spirit firmly position on The Rock, Your Son Jesus Christ.

“For the Word of God is living and powerful, and

 Sharper than any two-edge sword,

Piercing even to the division of soul and spirit,

And joints and marrow,

And is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 NKJV

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God… that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel…” Ephesians 6:17 NKJV

A Light has Shined!

To give Light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death. Luke 1:79 NKJV

I felt myself slipping into depression. Sadness moved into my heart and positioned itself to stay. Grieving for my Country, her people and our future is overwhelming for a someone who likes to fix things.

In quiet time, I heard my Friend say to me,

“Peering too long into the darkness causes you to lose your Light.”

This truth pulled me back from the edge of the pit saving my spirit, and bringing hope back into my soul.

I pray these verses brighten your day as we walk in the His Light together.

“To give Light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death. To guide our feet into the way of peace.” Luke 1:79 NKJV

“Nevertheless the gloom will not be upon her who is distressed…upon them a Light has shined.” Isaiah 9:1-2 NKJV

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I AM the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the Light of life.” John 8:12 NKJV

Release the Fragrance!

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” 2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV

Strong and Courageous

31 Days of Victory Through Joshua’s Battles

Day One – Jericho – A Fragrant Place

Day 13 – The Joshua Journals

Day Thirteen – Libnah – Whiteness

“…the king of Libnah one.” Joshua 12:15 NKJV

Libnah means – whiteness, a desert place

“Now the children of Israel moved on…” Numbers 21:10

Legend has it when God brought Moses to the top of Mt. Nebo, located in the Southern desert, he was able to see all the way to the white cap top of Mount Herman in the north.

I wondered as Joshua traveled through the desert, when he looked to the north, did he catch a glimmer of the white snow on top of Mount Herman encouraging him to continue his journey forward?

Last night stepping into my closet, the laundry basket overflowed again with the day’s laundry, I questioned myself how does one family use all these clothes? As I sorted between the darks and lights, I was thinking on the word “whiteness” for today. Asking the Lord, “whiteness”, what does that mean to me? Why did Joshua need to have victory over whiteness?”

I heard the soft voice say, “Why not whiteness, you spend your whole day sorting through darkness and the light.”

Like Joshua, I too have to decide daily, do I believe in, trust in, and look to the Truth, the purity, the whiteness of God’s Word and promises, or are my eyes clouded by what I see in my daily world preventing me from moving forward, walking by sight and not faith.

Lord, thank You for Your understanding of the battle word of whiteness. May I forever remember Jesus is the True Light who guides my way. May I never forget the price He paid, for “He was clothed with the robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.” Rev. 19:13 NKJV

Your Word empowers me to be victorious over the king of Libnah by remembering I am “…clothed in fine linen, white and clean…” because He paid for it with His Love. Revelations 19:14 NKJV

“When the LORD your God brings you into the land which you go to possessbecause He loves you.” Deuteronomy 7:1-7 NKJV

Mount Herman is located on Israel’s farthest northern border. Jesus and his disciples would have walked from Caesarea Philippi here for what many believe is the location of the Mount of Transfiguration. I love how Scriptures gives us this little detail of the walking distance, “Now after six days Jesus…led them up on a high mountain…His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.” Matthew 17:12 NKJV

Mount Herman fascinates and stirs my heart. While sailing the Jesus Boat on the Sea of Galilee, a sparkle of sunlight caught my eye causing me to look up. There in the distance, I could see what appeared to be snow. Peering through the haze over the water, my eyes could make out what looked like a snow top mountain. Yes, it was Mount Herman, and each time we have returned its majestic whiteness never disappoints this pilgrim’s eye and heart. I can’t help thinking, Joshua and King David might have felt the same way too.

Thank you, fellow sojourners.. May you find safety and good health as we travel together following Jesus who loved us from the beginning.

Bridal View

Reservations cancelled and scheduled for another time and season.

In the midst of this storm we ride out together there is hope in our future.

“Today I thought Your plan involved a wedding in Virginia.

Family gathered, hugs and kisses, future commitment.

Instead You’ve revealed Yourself so clear.

“Draw into My Presence”

For I Am Your shelter, joy, and wedding feast,

Hope unlimited.”

“I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,

My soul shall be joyful in my God.

For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,

He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,

As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,

And a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,

So, the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth

Before all the nations.”

Isaiah 61:10-11 NKJV
