Fruit in the Time of Testing

“…feed on His faithfulness…”

My garden as been such a reflection of my life this year.

Just when I want to give up, I step outside and see fruit on the vine that was barren and long past yielding any hope for the future.

Oh my soul, wait. Yes, wait on the Lord for He will surely bring His promises and word to pass.

May this be an encouragement to all who, like me, are waiting on the Lord.

“Trust in the Lord…dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness…Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:3-6 NKJV

I find it encouraging to see there are 40 verses in Psalm 37. Forty (40) is the number for “testing” in Scripture.

He is their strength in the time of trouble, and the LORD shall help them…and save them because they trust in Him.” Psalm 37:40 NKJV

Been to Camp

“That you may tell it to the generation following.” Psalm 48:13 NKJV

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:6 NKJV

Missing my WordPress friends.

Blessings for a safe and joyous Fourth of July!

P.S.: Had to replace my phone so I’ve been “out of pocket” as they like to say around here. Local interpretation: “not available by design or unexpected circumstances.”

Hidden Between the Rows

“What creepth here beneath the light;

Moving about without a sight?

Little frog,

Or cricket so.

A snake,

A bug,

I do not know.

You’ll keep me safe,

This I know,

As I till among my garden row.”

“I know all the birds of the hills,

And all that moves in the field is Mine.”

Psalm 50:11 (ESV)

You Walked for Me

“From the sands of the sea

Your heart is set on me.

Through the expanse of time the

Cross it does remind.

You walked all the way for me;

From Your heart flowed Calvary.”

“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How great is the sum of them!

If I should count them,

They would be more in number than the sand.”

Psalm 139:17-18 NKJV

Expanding Sights

“Who could have imagined

We’d climb to the sky?

Opening up our vision,

And

Expanding our sights.”

“Therefore I will remember

You from the land of the Jordan,

And from the heights of Hermon…”

Psalm 42:6

Retracing the View

“To venture up to

Mountains heights.

Breathe the air of

Snow and light.

To walk where others

Have shared the view,

Joshua,

David,

And

Peter too.

Truth of days and

Time gone by.

Retracing steps

He was sure to climb.

Up unto where

Hills meet sky;

The

Transformation of

Jesus Christ.”

“Joshua turned back at that time and took Hazor…

Then he burned Hazor with fire.” Joshua 11:10-11 NKJV

“Therefore, I will remember you from

The land of Jordan, and from the

Heights of Hermon.”

A Psalm of David – Psalm 42:6 NKJV

“Now after six days

Jesus took Peter, James and John his brother, and

Led them up on a high mountain by themselves and

He was transfigured before them.

His face shone like the sun, and

His cloths became as white as the light.”

Matthew 17:1-2 NKJV
