Photo101 – Day 20 – “Triumphal” Fragrance

Was it the day, after 15 years of marriage, and three months in the NICU, we brought our premature son home from the hospital?

“He gives the barren woman a home,

Making her the joyous mother of children.” Psalm 113:9 (ESV)

Was it the day in 2001, three months after September’s 911, and my husband losing his aerospace job in the midst of building, we moved into our long awaited home.

“He is not afraid of bad news;

His heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.” Psalm 112:7 (ESV)

Yes, these are days of triumph in my life.

But, this is the day my heart

Rejoiced,

Jumped for joy,

Triumph…

The day Jesus was true to His promise,

Removing all my fear, doubts and anxieties

And brought me to

Jaffa, Israel, to show me the brides.

Then I knew…then I understood…

“My Beloved speaks and says to me;

“Arise, My love, My beautiful one,

And come away,

For behold, the winter is past;

The rain is over and gone.

The flowers appear on the earth,

The time of singing has come,

The voice of the turtledove…

And the vines are in blossom;

They give forth fragrance.

Arise, My love, My beautiful one,

And come away.”

Song of Solomon 2:10-14 (ESV)

“But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession,

and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere.”

2 Corinthians 2:14 (ESV)

“There’s not little poem for Frog I know,

I’ve heard to Fully Rely on God to show.

With that said, He opened wide

“…we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life…nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:36-39 (ESV)

Photo101 – Day 18 – Edges and Lines – Clothesbasket in Tow

“Nothing sweeter

In my mind,

Then hanging laundry

On the line.

Light summer breezes,

Each pin squeezes,

Colors in motion

Stretched over time.

Lovingly spaced,

Shirt, shift, and lace.

Each sock and partner,

Paired for the race.

The Drier is easy,

Push a button and go.

Remove stress,

And wrinkles,

Clothesbasket in tow!”

Photo 101 – Day 17 – Glass – Raise the Banner!

“Memories made,

Like a parade.

Step by step,

Colors cascade.

Raising the Banner

Our forefathers knew.

“America the Beautiful!”

We love her too!”

Poem by denisebalog©

Happy Independence Day America!!

Photo101 – Day 16 – Treasures & Close up – Heart Treasures

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth

but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven…

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 (ESV)

“Delight yourself in the LORD,

and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 (ESV)

Photo 101 – Day 14 – Scale and Observation – Sweet Smelling Hay

“Move the cow here;

Place the lamb there;

Hours spent rearranging and imaging too.

Sweet smelling hay tickling the nose.

The calf and goat’s language,

Is there one who knows?

In wide-eye wonder,

Stepping into the stall,

The place it began,

The Grace of it all!”

Poem by denisebalog©

The wolf shall dwell with the lamb,

And the leopard shall lie down with the young goat,

And the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together;

And a little child shall lead them.” Isaiah 11:6 (ESV)

Memories from the little girl,

Who continues to delight,

In the starry night!

Photo101 – Day 13 – Moments and Motion – …heart highway.

“Blessed are those whose strength is in You,

In whose heart are the highways to Zion…

They go from strength to strength.” Psalm 84:5-7 (ESV)

Photo101 – Day 12 – Architecture & Monochrome – Write the vision…

“I will take my stand at my watchpost

And station myself on the tower,

And look out to see what He will say to me,

“Write the vision;

Make it pain on tablets…

For still the vision awaits its appointed time…

If it seems slow, wait for it;

It will surely come; it will not delay.”

Habakkuk 2:1 – 3 (ESV)

Photo101 – Pop and Color – Wind Chimes Play

“I put up the summer wind chimes

for the first time today.

Remembering soft breezes,

Their gentle music play.

The warmth of the sunshine,

Rising in the day.

Hours stretch before me;

My ear picks up the beat.

Gentle breezes blowing;

Faithful dog at my feet.”

Poem by denisebalog©

Photo101 – Day 10 – Mystery

“How do You see mystery?I inquired of the Lord.

“Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things…” Psalm 119:18 (ESV)

“”Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature…For the LORD sees not as man sees…” 1 Samuel 16:7 (ESV)

Photo 101 – Day 9 – Warmth and Light

I wonder…how many thoughts, ideas, tears, reflections, and plans have been made gazing beyond the warmth and light of this pane of glass.

“The heart of a man plans his way,

But the LORD establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 (ESV)
