We were scheduled to leave
tomorrow for the
Holy Land.
Plans have been delayed.
Yes, I am disappointed,
but I will trust in Him Who calls me.
I pray you are blessed from a previous poem post.
I’ve added a few photos to enhance your journey:)
“The Holy Land,
The Promise Land,
The Walk of Jesus.
The slope of Mount Olives,
The climb up Masada,
The crossing the Jordan,
The circling of Jericho.
The heights of Mount Herman,
The view from Mount Carmel,
The sailing upon the Sea.
The covenant meal on Mount Scopes,
The battle for the Holy Mount.
The delight of the City,
The warmth of the sun,
The steps to climb,
one by one.
The sand on the horizon,
The calm of the waves.
The roar of the flight,
Returning to dreams,
in the midst of the night.”
Poem by denisebalog
Photo taken while sailing on the Sea of Galilee looking towards Mount Arbel. “It is believed to be the location where Jesus would have gone to pray for it is walking distance from the Sea of Galilee, and its vantage point of more than 1000 feet overlooking the lake.”quote from “The King’s Highway – Jesus Revealed in Psalm 119”
“And after He had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by Himself to pray.” Matthew 14:23 (ESV)
Poem discovered in my travel journal.
I hope one day I will see these sights. My cousins and I have started a small group to study the terrain, and paths of the Bible. We attend a weekly Bible study group -but I wanted to see what I was reading -so I hope it goes over well. Thanks for sharing.

The Lord will bless your interest in His Holy Land. I too was drawn first to wanted to know more about the Sea of Galilee. I read every Scripture in the New that talked or mentioned the Sea. Never for once ever thinking I would one day travel to Israel. No not ever. And then the Lord Who delights in us, blew open a door, and I found myself in a “suddenly”:) I pray your group is interested to:) It is an amazing land and people. For our ” western ” mind sets, the Word turns from black and white to living, 3D color! My eyes are ever forward to return again. Either to Jerusalem or the New Jerusalem, we will meet there one day:) Thank you for stopping by for the visit. Most of my posts have photos from Israel. You can see more by checking the tags:) Shalom!

Yes, thank you Susan:) Our “lyres may be hanging on the willow trees”, but we know God has a plan! Spoke to our guide today, and she is getting stronger everyday! We wait on Him to open the door:) Its a hard trip, and without His presence going ahead and being our rear guard, we don’t want to go anywhere:) The ” wait” is also part of the sweet stuff:) Thank you for your Jubilee blessings!! Who knows, we may be waiting on someone to join us!
