Reclaim the vine

image

“Poems and rhyme,
Sore limbs and time.
My son and I work to
Reclaim the vine.”

image

After years of overgrowth, we have labored since last fall to reclaim what was once a lovely horse pasture. No horses in the future plans, but the sense of accomplishment has been price less!
“You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be.” Psalm 128:2 NLT

Valiant of Heart

In Honor of our military service men and women.

Valiant of Heart

“Remembering Memorial Day and the

Red, White and Blue.

Those who served, and

Continue to do.

The keepers of rank, the

Valiant of heart;

May we thank you for your service,

For in freedom our day starts.”

Fashioned as of old

I can remember laughing as Abraham,

“Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old?

Shall Sara, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” Genesis 17:17

Celebration poem in honor of our son’s birthday today!

“Who would ever imagine

We would ever have a son?

Prayed for,

Wanted so,

Desire of my soul.

Then one day,

As in fashion of the old,

Truth sprouted up,

And his story did unfold.

Blessed be his plans even in the strife.

May Your Countenance rest upon him and

Keep him secure through long life.

May Your Loving hand be upon him

As he travels road in bold.

May he keep his eyes upon

You Father,

For Your Love and Faithfulness is more desirable

Than jewels and gold.

Order his steps,

As he walks along the way.

Draw his heart towards Yours;

Never may he stray.

May he walk in the Light of remembering

Whose son he is;

For he is created in Your image,

And in him

Your Son does live.”

“For the LORD will be your confidence

And will keep your foot from being caught.”

Proverbs 3:26 NKJV

Bubbling Up

“Father,

Thank You for this joy of heart.

Where do I begin?

What words can start?

Bubbling up,

Bursting forth,

Your Love for me was from the start.”

“But God demonstrates His own Love toward us,

In that while we were still sinners,

Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8 NKJV

In the Beginning…

“My spirit stirred,

In the beginning.

My heart was ignited,

In the beginning.

What was old is gone,

In the beginning.

New Life and Light Provided

As we begin together,

In the beginning.”

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” Genesis 1:1-2 NKJV

Light Will Shine on Your Ways

“Season of beginnings

And brand new.

But first;

Graduation’s path of time to embrace, and

Walk on through.”

“You will decide on a matter, and it

Will be established for you, and

Light will shine on your ways.”

Job 22:28 (ESV)

“For everything there is a season…

A time to be born,

A time to plant,

A time to heal,

A time to laugh,

A time to dance,

A time to embrace.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1-6
