I can remember laughing as Abraham,
“Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old?
Shall Sara, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” Genesis 17:17
Celebration poem in honor of our son’s birthday today!

“Who would ever imagine
We would ever have a son?
Prayed for,
Wanted so,
Desire of my soul.
Then one day,
As in fashion of the old,
Truth sprouted up,
And his story did unfold.
Blessed be his plans even in the strife.
May Your Countenance rest upon him and
Keep him secure through long life.
May Your Loving hand be upon him
As he travels road in bold.
May he keep his eyes upon
You Father,
For Your Love and Faithfulness is more desirable
Than jewels and gold.
Order his steps,
As he walks along the way.
Draw his heart towards Yours;
Never may he stray.
May he walk in the Light of remembering
Whose son he is;
For he is created in Your image,
And in him
Your Son does live.”
“For the LORD will be your confidence
And will keep your foot from being caught.”
Proverbs 3:26 NKJV
