Windows of Rain

image

“No poems or rhymes on eastern time.
Rain of the day, chases away the songs of the south. Warmth from my mouth.
Yet…
Let it be said in the pause of the ride,

image

Gazing through windows of
Green countryside.

image

image

The dogwoods in bloom,

image

image

Sing a new tune.

image

Azaleas shout out,
“Spring is about!”

image

Farmhouses and hills
Delight in the rain,

image

image

image

As bursting buds

image

Joyfully,
Praise forth Your Name! ”

“Make a joyful noise to the LORD,
All the earth;
Break forth into joyous song and
Praise!”
Psalm 98:4 (ESV)

Ankle Deep

“The upper springs and

Lower springs,

Cause my feet to dwell.

Ankle deep in trusting,

Your River will not fail.”

“God is in the midst of her,

She shall not be moved.

God will help her when

Morning dawns.”

Psalm 46:5 (ESV)

The Smile in My Heart

2016-01-20 The Favor of Him 3076

“You are my Shepherd.

Keeping watch at the door.

Listening to Your voice,

my feet safe and sure.

Food from Your hand,

Nourishes my impoverished soul;

Liquid from Your lips,

Quenches thirst untold.

Shepherd,

King,

The Smile in my heart.

Speak to me Lord,

A fresh word as we start…”

“I will instruct you and teach you

In the way you should go…” Psalm 32:8 (ESV)

Walking the dirt; staff in hand.

Take us again to the Jaffa Gate!”

“They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion,

And they shall be radiant over the goodness of the Lord…

The young women rejoice in the dance,

And the young men and the old shall be merry.”

Apply the Lamb’s Blood to the house.

His Precious Blood atoning;

Cry out His Victory Shout!”

“The LORD roars from Zion,

And utters His voice from Jerusalem,

And the heavens and the earth quake.

But the LORD is a refuge to His people,

A stronghold to the people of Israel.”

The Difference to Know

“Some things He gives are for me.

Other Words are especially for you.

I pray daily to know the difference,

As He guides between the two.”

“…the Spirit of truth…He will guide you into all truth…He will glorify Me, for He will take what is Mine and declare it to you.” John 16:13-14 (ESV)

Daniel – The Right Hand of Favor – Yood

“And behold, a hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees.” Daniel 10: Verse 10

This was the verse that opened my eyes to see the Hebrew letters.

“a hand touched me…”

Yood - 10th letter Word Picture: Closed (right) hand Meaning: Work, a deed, to make, effort
Yood – 10th letter

Yood – Is the smallest of the Hebrew letters but very significant.

It can represent:

“the hand of God”

“the work of God”

“the favor of God by His hand”

Jesus spoke,

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.” Matthew Chapter 10:29

Matthew Chapter 10 – Ten

Nothing is insignificant to the Father. So much so, Jesus also said,

“For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” Matthew 5:18

He was speaking about the letter Yood.

It’s numerical value is 10. The number 10 represents order:

The Ten Commandments

The 10 generations of Adam to Noah.

God delivered Israel by the 10 plagues.

A minyan (a group of 10 men) is required for prayer in the synagogue.

“And behold, a hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees.”

Daniel had the “hand of God” lift him up.

God gave Daniel favor – Daniel 1:9

Yood is the right hand – or the hand of favor, by lifting Daniel up.

God was “working” on Daniel’s behalf.

“Strength and comfort commonly come by degrees to those that have been long cast down and disquieted; they are first helped up a little, and then more. After two days he will review us, and then the third day he will raise us up. And we must not despise the day of small things, but be thankful for the beginning of mercy.” quote by Matthew Henry

God does not,

despise our small frames,

or trembling knees.

He extends His hand of

love and favor.

Picking us up from despair;

depression;

sickness;

loneliness;

and with His mighty

right hand works on our behalf!

And like the “Feature photo” of a tambourine depicting Miriam, the sister of Aaron, who took a tambourine in her hand, went out (with all the women) singing and dancing after the LORD, Who (with a Mighty hand) brought back the waters of the Sea.

Delivering the people from the ten plagues and bondage. Exodus 15:19

“On the days when I feel small,

Fighting the battle on my own.

I remember,

You are my Deliverer;

With Mighty Closed Hand of

Yood!”

“Your right hand, O LORD, shatters the enemy…

The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake…

Your stretched out Your right hand;

The earth swallowed them.” Exodus 15:6-9 (ESV)

Beloved Sleep

2013-04-13_19-11-45_82

“For You give Your beloved sleep.

Making me to lie down in green pastures.

Resting by the sandal of Your feet.

Quenching the thirsting of my soul with

Fresh waters of Your drink.

Leading me by the Comfort of Your side;

In Your Peace and healing, my body does revive.

Feasting upon the abundance of Your Bread.

Tension far removed.

Your Words of Life are

Refreshment for my head.”

“In is vain that you rise up early and go late to rest,

Eating the bread of anxious toil;

For He gives to His beloved sleep.” Psalm 127:2 (ESV)

“In returning and rest you shall be saved;

In quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15 (ESV)
