Desktop Breakaway

Have you ever decided enough is enough, your either going to learn to do something totally different or it’s not going to happen, consistently at all?

Well here I am at the crossroads, not the first time either, of what to do next.

My snuggie zone is safe. Plenty of room to stretch out and create on my desktop.

But it doesn’t get the posting done weekly or even close to achieving posting daily.

So how ya gonna do this?

My goal is in the evening when I am done with the day’s work and evening chores, to use my time before bed to draft up a post from my most favorite “snuggy zone” my couch.

This is where every morning, every morning, I have quite time and journal. Going back to where the day started fresh and rewriting the directions of my heart from His, in hopes of sharing a little dab of my heart. So far, if three days counts as so far, it’s been a nice way to relax for a peaceful night of sleep.

Does anyone have any words of wisdom to share on how you arrange your day to write and post? I would welcome hearing your comments.

Breaking away from comfortable, safe places is hard to do.

I guess one of the crossroad signs should read,

“Writer, willing to learn – This Way”

Thank you friends and neighbors.

“This is the Way, walk in it…” Isaiah 30:21 NKJV

  1. My writing never really leaves me. At any gathering I’m watching and listening to the people for their stories. When my muse taps my shoulder mid-lunch, I eat with one hand and type with the other. I’m often up in the wee hours when the wavelengths are clearer.

    1. Love this😊 Up at the wee hours. I’m finding the more I press in the opening of the flow. Thank you for sharing your writing style and way with me. I guess when I wake up in the “wee hours” I’d should think about grabbing a pencil and journal to get it done😊 Thanks again!

  2. The first thing I do is get up in the morning and do my personal devotions. Then I work on doing my daily blog. I am an early morning person and do my best then. I also cannot do any writing if anyone else is up or around. Been doing it for about 7 years this way

    1. Sounds good Tom. I’m up at 4:45 for my personal time, which never seems to be enough 😅, but must leave by 6:55 for work. Seven years sounds like a solid plan. Thank you for sharing your routine to post daily. I always enjoy your Scripture of the day. More than often, it’s exactly what I need for the day.😊 Blessings Neighbor.
