We seize the day.

Dipped in colors

The pilgrim’s way.”

“He brought me to the

And His banner

Over me was love.”

Pilgrimage in Israel

Flocks of Song

“Birds above

Their morning call.

Palm trees tower

Growing tall.

Morning awakens

Not by alarm,

But in the movement of

Sea gulls and their

Flocks of song.”

“Praise the LORD from the heavens,

Praise Him in the heights above…

Praise the LORD from the earth,

You great sea creatures and all

Ocean depths…

Wild animals and all cattle,

Small creatures and flying birds…”

Psalm 148:1-10 NIV

All That Moves In The Field

We had several visitors today.

Some close up, and

Others,

We’re glad to say,

Stayed a distance away!

Sweet doe – she is one of three babies by one Momma deer who visits us daily.

Time to go…Mom and sisters moving on.

Coyote, oh no!

First freeze last night brought him far too close looking for lunch.

Firecracker sent him off with a fair warning…too close for our comfort.

Skunk! If he sprays, we’re sunk!!

I have laundry hanging in the beautiful afternoon sun!!

Ok, he just wanted a drink and then went on his way.

Running deer, keen to hear.

Abby started barking and stirred this late afternoon deer up!

This deer and doe are a bit taller and older than our regular morning Momma and triplets. Fast too!!

Sunset true, distant view.

Time to put a close to the day.

Good night my WordPress friends and neighbors!

Denise

“For every beast of the forest is Mine,

The cattle on a thousand hills.

I know all the birds of the hills,

And all that moves in the field is Mine.”

Psalm 50:10-11 ESV

Pilgrim’s Journey – I

“There’s joy in pilgrims meeting.

Gathering everyone.

Traveling roads together

In laughter and in fun.

Each heart is set on Zion,

Her beauty a delight.

Keep focused on You Lord,

Throughout the travel flight.

Talking with each other.

Taking time to pray.

Safety in our numbers

No not one to stray.”

Familiar faces;

Hearts drawing near,

Reaching close to You.

A new smile mixed with tear.”

“Happy are the people

Whose strength is in You,

Whose hearts are set on

Pilgrimage.

As they pass through the

Valley of Baca (tears)

They make it a source

Of springwater;

Even the autumn rains

Will cover it with blessings.

They go from

Strength to strength;

Each appear before God

In Zion.”

Psalm 84:5-7 HCSB

Pressing In To Know the Neighbors – Capernaum Part One

WordPress has been like a neighborhood to me. As I wondered what Jesus would think about my spending time here in this place of sharing and checking in on others, He opened my thoughts to Capernaum by the Sea of Galilee, the place where Jesus began His ministry.

And what about Jesus? Over the next few days, I would like to share some of my journal notes and travel photographs of this place called Capernaum on the Sea of Galilee in Israel.

“On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee…after this He went down to Capernaum, with His mother and His brothers and His disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.” John 2:1-12 ESV

Abundant Dew Waiting by the Gate

“Abundant dew,

Moisture abounds.

Freshness new,

Crisp, clear sounds.

Sunrise sharp,

Don’t be late.

Sunrise drive 3337

“You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice.

Sunrise spring break 3321

You visit the earth and water it,

You greatly enrich it;

Soft showers 3349

You water its ridges abundantly,

You settle its furrows;

You make it soft with showers,

You bless its growth,

Furrows dew3343

You crown the year with Your goodness,

And Your paths drip with abundance.

Little hills rejoic3354

They drop on the pastures of the wilderness,

And the little hills rejoice on every side.

The pastures are clothed with flocks;

valleys covered with grain 3372

The valleys also are covered with grain;

They shout for joy, they also sing.”

This is the Way, walk in it…

“Who do I follow

If I don’t follow You?

Where do I place my feet,

If it’s not after You?

With great care

You speak softly,

“This is the way”,

Believing it yesterday,

And choosing today.”

“So the Lord must wait for you to come to Him

So He can show you His love and compassion.

For the LORD is a faithful God…

Your own ears will hear Him.

Right behind you a voice will say,

“This is the way you should go,

Whether to the right or to the left…”

Then the LORD will bless you with rain at planting time.

There will be wonderful harvests and

Plenty of pastureland for your livestock.”
